FULFORDGATE menacingly moved to within one point of York White Rose Ladies League division one leaders Sun with a fine 5-2 win over Lord Collingwood.

Beryl Glover included two tons plus in the opening team game and a 180 score to put Fulfordgate 4-0 up. Marion Stilgoe made it five but Collingwood pulled back with Irene Bowes then a good 22 darts from Jackie Ritchie.

Only Chris Horsman-Elsie Blackburn got on Crescent's sheet at Fulford Conservatives while Institute's title challenge collapsed at New York who had Gilliam Grimes grabbing the decider.

Division two is wide open. Coach are joint-top but lost 4-3 to a decider taken by Tap's Margaret Turvey, while Clarence climbed into pole position from 3-0 down at Six Bells with determined wins from Celia Wells, Win Whitehead, Cheryle Fernandez, then Jayne Cain.

Tankard took a last game win at Bay Horse with Sally Umpleby, while Katie Reynolds took Lord Nelson's winner over King William.

Cygnet 'B', languishing in the lower reaches of York John Smith's Mixed League division one beat their 'A' side - and leaders - 5-4.

Kev Walton shone for the 'A' with 19 darts but the 'B' side took the decider with Angie Powell-Billy Broadhead.

Tap's Pete Leake brilliantly scored 125, 100, 131 to game in 16 darts then hit a splendid 119 pairs finish in a 7-2 at Cygnet 'C'.

Beeswing's Jim Hawksby shot 19 darts then took out a marvellous 151 for his pairs game. However, Huntington went on to win with Angie Hields-Harry Watson making it 5-4.

Leeman 'A' collected the decider with a fine Ken Simpson-Eileen White effort at Bumper whose Kevin O'Hara threw 21 darts.

Derek Smallwood was a 180 scorer for Leeman 'B' who beat Escrick 7-2, while Caroline Walker partnered Chris Bullen to grab the decider for Vaults 'A' at Three Tuns.

A splendid 19 darts from Lucy Harris directed Woodman to a 6-3 York John Smith's Ladies League division three victory over Old Ebor.

Leaders Jubilee snuffed second-placed rivals Shepherd 6-3, winning the first five games before Sue Lacy put the club side on the scoresheet.

Woolpack were also pegged back by Clifton 'B' who hit back from a 4-2 deficit, Angie Phillips and Linda Embleton securing the decider. Diane Schofield partnered Jackie Read to win the decider for Puss 'A' after June Miller-Barbara Johnson had put CueBall on level terms.

Collette Wilson (119, 128) hit back after Marie Ward had won the first well for Tang Hall WMC and Puss 'B' were spurred on to a 6-3 win, Sarah Thompson-Michelle Kelly taking the winner.

W Harris-M Thomas sealed the victory for Acomb against Leeman whose Shelagh Kenny hit a fine 120, 100 for 23 darts.

Brigadier settled the division one championship. Carole Layne and Roz Kerr again hit the tons in a 6-3 against Clifton whose Dawn Gore starred.

Carol Brayshaw (171) and Chris Noble were Dringhouses' only successes as Cygnet, well led by captain Dawn Exton who shot out on 104, valiantly tried to gain ground on runners-up Phoenix 'B'.

Tracey Farmeary and Sue Smith fronted Phoenix's 7-2 win against Nags whose Jean Elliot found the big scores.

Phoenix 'A' won by the same scoreline at Slipper, Clair Cooper and Babs Harrison threw three tons apiece and Carol Perrett chipped in with two. Doreen Johnstone was Slipper's best.

Division two leaders Clifton 'A' raced into a 4-0 lead at Half Moon whose captain Maureen Ferguson put them on the scoresheet. Pat Nelson secured the match as Moon collected all the pairs.

Sue Richardson shot out on treble 20 double 16 to put Severus into a 4-3 lead against Leeman 'A' whose Margaret Yeomans-Christina Waddington set up the decider for Peggy Rose-Linda Abley to win the game going to the wire.
