THE Scarborough Short Mat Bowls league first division title was resolved when Scarborough Falcons beat Flixton 'B' 10-0.
That edged thgem out of relegation and also presented the Championship to Flixton 'A'.
In the outstanding division two fixture, Thornton-le-Dale 'B' beat Barn 'A' 8-2.
Marton 'C' beat Barn 'B' 8-2 in division three moving them into third place.
The Challenge Cup final first leg was played at Kirby Misperton against Thornton-le-Dale 'A'. Kirby Misperton take a healthy lead into the second leg at Thornton-le-Dale this week.
The plate final was between division two champions Marton 'A' and newcomers Cayton 'B'. It turned out to be a tense affair until the final stages.
Playing at Marton first, Cayton came out fighting and restricted the home side to a one-shot lead. With home advantage in the second leg they fancied their chances and wiped out Marton's lead in the first half. In the last session Marton pulled themselves together using their experience to run out winners by 18 shots.
