Heworth Rugby League Club's Steve Barnard helped Yorkshire outgun Cumbria with a 30-18 victory in the BARLA County Championship clash.
Barnard, who has had an impressive season for the Black and Whites, was called into the squad at loose-forward and proved a nuisance with his trademark rampaging runs. Trevor Stead, Terry Lynn (2), Glyn Jones, Paul Birdsall and Scott Fletcher scored tries for Yorkshire, with Lee Innes adding three conversions.
