VICTORY at every level seems to be second nature to Malton and Norton after the club's Under 12s added to their recent successes.
Having watched, and learned, as the seniors tasted glory in the Tetley's Bitter Vase and flirted with the Yorkshire Three title, the youngsters have shown that the future is bright.
The U12s might not quite be on the road to Twickenham yet, but their 21-12 victory over West Park Bramhope in the final of the Yorkshire Cup is certainly a step in the right direct.
The Gannock juniors were on the attack from the off with Chris Pearce opening the scoring with a try in the corner and the conversion.
Pearce was also the scorer of Malton's second try when he was on hand to finish off Mark Perkins' surge to the line after some good attacking play.
West Park showed they were not going to let Malton have things their own way, hitting back with two tries and a conversion.
The match was played at an all-action pace, with Malton's defence having to be on top form to prevent Bramhope taking the lead.
But with the sands of time running out, Malton were awarded a penalty and a quick ball down the line saw Perkins go over in the corner for the deciding try of the game. Pearce converted to seal the win.
All credit must go to all the boys in the squad for their determination, tenacity and outstanding display of rugby skills.
