HEWORTH moved into second place in the first division of the Mitchell Sports Football League with a thrilling 4-3 win at Haxby Town.
Goals by Phil Waters (2), Gareth Miles and Matty Fairclough leave them a point behind leaders Fulford, who have played a game less. Haxby's scorers were Nick Lawrie (2) and Ashley Snowball.
Both other games in the division ended in draws. Callum Reilly's goal gave Selby Olympia a point at Sherburn White Rose, whose scorer was D Bull.
Easingwold consolidated their lead at the top of division two as braces by Freddie Walker and Simon Webster gave them a 4-0 win over Panthers 'A'. Their title hopes were boosted as second-placed Thorpe United lost 2-0 against Barlby Raiders, whose marksmen were Luke Zacharenko and Kev Kozicki.
Glen Thompson's strike gave Poppleton a 1-0 win at Huntington and goals by Dan Mustill and Andrew Megginson earned Selby Town a 2-0 victory at Grasshoppers 'A'.
Real Cliffe thumped bottom club Bass Sport 12-3 with Graham Stewart scoring five times. Chris Gilmartin (3), Sean Dunning, Craig Haythorne, Ricki Hutton and Jamie Newey were also on target for Cliffe, while Bass's goals came from Liam McReesh (2) and Sam Mottershead.
Ulleskelf beat Rowntree Rhinos 6-2 in the big game of the day in division three to cement their place at the top of the table. On target for Ulleskelf were James Windle (2), Simon Wheatley (2), Charles Woodhead and Jamie King.
Ulleskelf now lead Barmby Moor, 5-0 victors over Grasshoppers 'B', by two points and have a game in hand. Moor's marksmen were Sam Duffy (3) and Sam Appleton (2).
Ben Swalwell hit a hat-tick as Pickering Town beat Elvington Harriers 4-1. Max Benson netted Pickering's other goal and Nathan Hind hit Harriers' goal.
Joe Harton's strike gave Panthers 'B' a 1-1 home draw with Pocklington, whose goal came from Philip Gray
