Tadcaster Hockey Club's men's first team held promotion chasing Old Malton to a goalless draw, denting the latter's hopes of going up from Yorkshire League division five.

Tad's next game is against title-chasing Boston.

Bad finishing denied Tadcaster II a win as they drew 2-2 with Bradford in division eight.

Roy Jewitt hammered home a short corner but Bradford levelled from their first short corner and went ahead from a breakaway.

Tad, who missed many chances, equalised through Paul Oxtoby at the death.

Promoted Yorkshire League division three champions Tadcaster Ladies hammered Halifax and Calder 5-0, before the game was stopped after 45 minutes following an injury to the Halifax 'keeper.

Helen Stuart, Karen Hooley, Nicola Willis, Sarah Taylor and Rebecca Cattle got the goals. However, a collision with the scorer when the fifth goal went in badly injured the home 'keeper.
