CITY of York Under-14 Girls collected a maximum nine points from their latest three games at Castleford.
They beat Thirsk, Almondbury and Leeds all 3-0 to put them in good heart for finals day next Sunday.
Catherine Francis, making her first appearance, netted twice against Thirsk with Stephanie Pearson scoring the other goal.
Almondbury, who had beaten Leeds, eventually went down to goals by Jessica Barnes, Francis and Amelia Smalley.
Strong play from Michaela Dickson and Laura Taylor ensured that April Watson had virtually nothing to do in the York goal.
City of York Under-12 Boys finished off their season with an unbeaten run of matches at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Goals by Stevenson (2) and Ellis gave them a 3-0 win over Almondbury. Arksey scored the goal to beat Colne Valley 1-0 and the third game, against Boston Spa, was drawn 0-0. Arksey was on target again in the final match as York defeated Grimsby 1-0.
City of York Under-12 Boys 'B' kept a clean sheet in their three games against
Hull, Brigg and Thirsk.
Despite a ragged start against Thirsk, York won 1-0 after Jonathan Kilmartin's pass was deflected into the goal by a defender.
York dug in to draw 0-0 against Brigg, who had earlier beaten Hull 2-1, and
then met an on-song Hull, who had just recorded a 4-0 victory over Thirsk, in their final game.
Despite some strong attacking play, York were unable to score but defended
well against Hull's counter-attacks, with 'keeper Grant Wilson pulling-off some excellent saves in a 0-0 draw.
