IT amazes me that £1 million to help set up the Thrall wagonworks operation which has lasted for five years can be regarded as "a waste of money" (March 5) when it has provided real jobs where people actually make something as opposed to shuffling pieces of paper around!
Look further down the river at the so-called Millennium Bridge which cost £5 million and serves no useful purpose other than to act as a magnet for vandals. Was that money well spent?
