Two of the top teams in York Vale Cricket League Division Four clashed in the final of the Prendergast Memorial Trophy at the Tadcaster Magnet ground.
The York University Staff side batted first and struggled against Roger (4 for 26) with only Mark Dusheiko (40) showing much form.
The middle order helped Dusheiko to raise the score from 49 for 5 to 97 for 6 but two run-outs hastened the end at 114 all out.
Tollerton were made to fight for their runs and again the innings was propped up one man, Tony Raper, whilst wickets fell at the other end with Jan Fenton picking up a brace and the inevitable run out leaving the score very similar to that of the Staff side 54 for 4.
Raper, who eventually finished on 47 not out, held the Staff bowling at bay as Tollerton slipped to 74 for 6. Ian Cotterill got his head down and gradually the runs came as Tollerton eased their way forward to complete a League and Cup double.
