Former York City striker and Scarborough boss Colin Addison is poised to quit Swansea City at the end of the season.
Addison and his assistant, Peter Nicholas, have been told their contracts will not be renewed because of the "severe financial situation" inherited by the Third Division club's new owners.
A club statement said: "Swansea City Football Club would like to point out the decision is purely financial and not a football one.
"We would like to place on the record our thanks for their hard work in recent months and wish them all the best for the future."
Addison, 61, only took charge of the Swans earlier this season following the dismissal of John Hollins, now boss of Rochdale.
