A MAN was left needing treatment for a head wound after he was attacked in a confrontation with a group of youths in York.
Police said the victim had been walking across Lendal Bridge towards the railway station at about 12.30am yesterday, when he became involved in an argument with the group.
As he walked away he was hit on the back of the head with an unknown object and knocked unconscious.
He told police the next thing he remembered was waking up in York District Hospital. He had suffered a wound to the back of his head, and hospital staff repaired the damage with a special medical glue.
