PYLON protesters will take their fight to the Government's energy minister at a meeting next week.
Vale of York Tory MP Anne McIntosh will lead a delegation to meet minister Brian Wilson to discuss pylons being put up across the constituency.
She will be joined by members of campaign group REVOLT at the meeting on March 14.
Miss McIntosh said: "Tempers are running high at the fact that National Grid and its contractors have not agreed to the wayleaves principle, requiring permission to be sought and compensation agreed before contractors enter landowners' property along the route.
"There is also growing concern about permanent damage being caused to the roads and to the soil, particularly in view of the very wet conditions."
