THE York City Supporters' Trust has seen its coffers boosted after a donation from the players.
The fans' heroes, led by skipper Chris Brass, had wanted to join the Trust in a show of solidarity.
However, legal problems meant the move was not possible so instead the players donated £200 - the equivalent of 20 membership fees.
Brass said: "The supporters have been fantastic, rallying round to save the club and getting behind the team.
"We just wanted to make a gesture and give something back to them."
