VISITORS to York Minster were today being given the opportunity to view a striking new exhibition on the life of Christ.
The new show, which is entitled I Am The Resurrection And The Life, focuses on Christ's life as represented through the arts of the cathedral.
It places particular emphasis on the Easter story, and it will be on display in the Minster Chapter House from today throughout the rest of Lent until Sunday April 14, a fortnight after Easter Sunday.
A selection of rarely-displayed embroideries, including the Great Processional Banner, a Lenten array and the Halifax Vestments, will be on display, along with a small selection of carvings.
A photographic representation of an early glass panel will also go on show as part of the exhibition.
A small admission charge will apply for those interested in viewing the show.
