THE York City Supporters' Trust has surpassed a remarkable milestone - with help from the Evening Press.
Just 30 days have passed since the Trust was officially launched and already it boasts a 1,000-strong membership.
It means the Trust has been signing up new members at a staggering rate of more than 33 a day.
Supporters, young and old, from across the country and around the globe have paid their £10 to join the Trust while the membership list also includes a cat and a dog.
Lifelong City fan Keith Parker lays claim to the notable accolade of being the Trust's 1000th member.
He signed up to the supporters' body via a membership form printed in the Press.
Keith, 42, who lives in Woodthorpe, York, has been supporting the Minstermen for the best part of 35 years.
He admits his work commitments mean he is not able to attend every game at Bootham Crescent but watches his heroes ias much as possible.
Whether fans are ever-present or not, Keith reckons it is vital as many people as possible sign up to the Trust.
"With the position the club is in it has got to done, absolutely," he declared.
