EVERY cloud has a silver lining and Tuesday night's postponement of the Carlisle clash provided a double boost for the Minstermen.
The frustrating call-off at least ensured Lee Nogan and Graham Potter, pictured right, have escaped a possible one-match ban.
The duo have both been on four yellow cards for the season in recent games, meaning one more step out of line would have led to an automatic suspension.
Had the Carlisle game gone ahead and Potter and Nogan had been booked the influential duo would have been banned for the home game with Darlington on March 16.
However, the Football League wipe the slate clean at the end of February - meaning the cloud of a suspension hanging over the pairing has now been lifted.
