BRADLEY Grimshaw was Huntington's hero with the only goal of the game at home to Wigginton Black Horse, a win which maintains Huntington's outside title chances in the Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve A title.
Grimshaw scored in the second half with a shot from 20 yards out. Black Horse are now four points adrift of safety.
Second-from-bottom Wigginton Grasshoppers, who took a weakened team to Pocklington, suffered a further setback when they lost their goalkeeper injured.
Pocklington dominated but had to battle against the wind in the first half and were restricted to two first half goals. After the break they cut loose and completed a 7-0 rout with goals from Tim Furnell (3), Chris Tatterton (2) and Scott Silburn (2).
John Hampton hit a hat-trick as Civil Service won 4-1 at home to Haxby & Wigginton in Reserve B. Ian Beavis got Service's fourth goal.
Steve Barnard grabbed a last minute consolation goal for the visitors.
Three brothers, Richard, Darren and Steve Blake, scored a goal each as bottom-of-the-table Nestle Rowntree won 7-2 at home to Rufforth.
Dave Wright hit two goals and Will Nevianni one. Jim Young and Watson responded for Rufforth.
Moor Lane paid the price for missing numerous scoring chances in their home game with Barmby Moor. Moor Lane took the lead in the first half through John Connolly, but Paul Young equalised on 70 minutes and Tom Gibson hit Barmby's winner ten minutes later.
Two penalties played their part in Easingwold's 3-2 win at Boroughbridge. After a scoreless first half Matthew Wix and Adam Wix netted for the home side but Andrew Hartley included one penalty in his two goals and Clayton King grabbed the winner from the penalty spot.
White Horse enjoyed a rare scoring spree with a 5-1 win at LNER Builders in Reserve C, David Marshall leading the way with a hat-trick.
Lee Starr and Michael Cockeram got one goal each and Paul Crosby pulled one back for the home side.
John Hardcastle scored a hat-trick as Wilberfoss won 6-2 at home to Heworth. Lee Goodwin (2) and Ross Pooley were the other marksmen for Wilberfoss. Andy Coop and Ian Wilkinson scored for Heworth.
All the goals came in the second half as Fulford won 4-2 at home to Heslington. James Fry, Ben Bailey (2) and Shaun Cade scored for Fulford.
