A developer has launched a website to promote the York Business Park at Poppleton - a marketing strategy which is believed to be a 'first' for the city.
The website, www.yorkbusinesspark.co.uk outlines a profile of existing occupiers, including Livingwell health and fitness club, the Whitbread Hotel and Brewers Fayre, Maxi's Chinese restaurant, the Wetherby Whaler and the Bengal Brasserie .
It also outlines availability of recently completed development such as 10 Great North Way where the first phase of three office units has just been completed.
And it details the masterplan for future development on the site. .The marketing campaign is coupled with a 'mega rear' - jargon for advertising the business park and new web address on the back of some First York buses.
Richard Flanagan, partner at Lawrence Hannah and Skelton, acting as marketing agents jointly with King Sturge of Leeds said: "This use of a website is not just a first for the city, but is not likely to be the last.
"We expect a huge response from it bearing in mind that the occupiers of such business parks use the Internet as an integral part of their communications.."
