A MAN had part of his nose bitten off and two others suffered human bite wounds to the face at a village pub.
Officers were called to the Ship Inn, Strensall, after reports that a man was being attacked by 12 men.
But a York police spokeswoman said when officers arrived early on Saturday morning they were told "all the people involved had made up and were leaving the scene".
Ambulance crews took three men to York District Hospital.
The police spokeswoman added: "One had wounds on his face, the second had wounds on the end of his nose, the third on his cheek. We attended, but no arrests were made."
