NINE-man Pocklington scored a 3-2 extra time win in a stormy Leeper Hare York and District League Senior Cup quarter-final at Dunnington.
Pocklington had two players sent off and lost another with a broken leg.
Richard Millett put Pocklington ahead in the first half. Andy Rose equalised after the interval and a Grant Tolworthy penalty in the 80th-minute looked to have won the game for Dunnington until a moment of madness with four minutes remaining handed Pocklington an equaliser.
A back pass put the Dunnington 'keeper under pressure and he picked up the ball and conceded an indirect free-kick. Receiving the ball from the free-kick, Alan Goodrick made no mistake.
The game then exploded as tempers boiled over and Pocklington had two players dismissed. But their nine players defended valiantly in extra time and Dave O'Connor snatched the winner for Pocklington on the break.
The game was also suspended for half an hour after Pocklington's Charlie Bond suffered a broken leg.
Boroughbridge reached the semi-finals with a 3-2 win at Bishopthorpe. Olly Uffindall opened the scoring for Boroughbridge after 14 minutes. Bishopthorpe levelled when Joe Gardham crossed for David Allison to score five minutes before half-time.
Uffindall restored the lead for Boroughbridge early in the second half and Duncan Quick made it 3-1 after 65 minutes.
A Boroughbridge defender then handled on the line and was sent off. Allison converted the resulting penalty to set up a tense finale. but Boroughbridge held out.
Dringhouses won their quarter-final 4-0 at home to division one side Post Office. Andy Barkway and Lee Atkinson made it 2-0 in the first half and John Lake netted twice in the second period.
Malton Bacon Factory's quarter-final at home to Osbaldwick was postponed because a snow. The tie will be played next week.
Moor Lane frittered a two-goal lead before winning 3-2 at Hemingbrough to book a place in the League Junior Cup semi-finals.
After a scoreless first half, Paul Jones netted twice for Moor Lane, his second goal from the penalty spot after the Hemingbrough 'keeper was sent off for fouling Andrew Kenyon as he was about to score.
This setback revitalised Hemingbrough and their ten men shocked their opponents by levelling the score with two goals from Billy Gundry.
They then spurned an opportunity to take the lead when Moor Lane 'keeper John Crow saved a penalty. Charlie Goodwin gave Moor Lane victory with a goal ten minutes from time.
Heslington won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, whose scorer was Sam Brown midway through the second half.
T&L Selby and Barmby Moor finally managed to play their second round tie and the Selby side won 3-0 with goals from Chris Harkin, Stuart Campbell and Darren Fawcett.
