Clifton 'A' won by the same margin at Slipper, whose Ian Johnstone notched a maximum. Russ Turpin took Slipper's only point. Graham Sanderson and Neil Hart gamed in 21 and Martyn Turner included a maximum.
Tap played back to back matches against Bishopthorpe and won them both 5-4. Mick Nixon (19) and Tony Raymond (21) stood out for their sides.
Clifton 'B' won 6-3 at Volunteer, whose Darren Gray closed on 110.
In division two a 21 darter from Mal Muncaster and a maximum from Steve Richardson inspired Crescent 'A' to a fine win over Huntington 'A', whose Trevor Richardson hit the tons.
Rob Henman had a 20 darter as Acomb beat Fulford Arms, Crescent hit back from 2-0 down to take the rest against Burton.
Division three leaders Huntington 'B' beat Indoor Bowls Club 6-3.
Leeman had Steve Parkinson-Roger Pirrie as last game winners to secure a 5-4 success and the extra point at Yearsley.
Bumper continued their climb up the table with a 7-2 win at Winning Post.
Mark Sommerville's 21 darts helped Jackdaw to victory at Reindeer.
Entries for the summer season close on Monday, March 11. Entries for the new Monday Night League must be with John Smith by Monday, February 25.
