GARY Penrose Trophy finalists Saville AV have reached the final of the Sunday Afternoon League Cup semi-finals by beating first division title contenders Clifton FC 4-2.
Saville, who lead division two, scored through P Scaling (2), D Haywood and S Collis. H Butler netted both Clifton goals.
Also through to the semi-finals are Woodthorpe Warriors, Drax United and Fossway.
The latter edged out College of Law 5-4 with goals from D Lias, E Phillips, D Bellwood, S Ogden and A Whitehead. Law's marksmen were R Regan (3) and D Culbird.
Third division Woodthorpe thrashed second division high-fliers Black Dog with a hat-trick from J Haw and other goals from Belleh, Furby, Marshall and R Haw.
Two goals each from J Hurst, K Biddle and one from D Bower saw Drax knockout Rose and Crown 5-3.
Nine-man Ainsty lost 5-0 to Firkin 103 in the President's Trophy quarter-finals with goals from M Hird (2), A Hird, S Bissett and M Hodson all coming in the second half.
Parker scored a hat-trick as Knavesmire KO'd Old Grey Mare 5-4 in a real thriller.
He scored twice in the first half to give Knavesmire a 3-2 lead after goals by Heath and Donaldson had put Old Grey Mare 2-1 up.
Taylor's left-foot 25-yard shot levelled matters before Heath's second got Mare's noses in front again.
Knavesmire turned the game round with goals from Wake and Parker, but with two minutes to go Mare missed the chance to force extra time when Donaldson sent a penalty inches wide.
Rawcliffe United eased through to the last four when strikes by Mick Martin, Peter Katona and Steve Rollinson gave them a 3-0 win at Sheriff Hutton.
In division two, Drum FC bounced back from the previous week's 10-0 thrashing to draw 1-1 at Wigginton Grasshoppers.
Drum led for 85 minutes thanks to Thompson's goal but Grasshoppers made their late pressure count with S Hutchinson's equaliser.
Haxby United Spartans thumped bottom-of-the-table Cygnet 7-0 to maintain their 100 per cent winning record in division three.
Even Spartans' goalkeeper D Caygill got in on the act with a penalty to add to goals from D Shaw (2), D Bateson, G Rylance, M Bentham and M Beggan to give Haxby their 12th successive win.
B Dunne was Millfield's match-winner as they won 1-0 at Yearsley Grove.
