Bradley and Smyth's return of 90-24 included a 10 and 3 over Sandra Robinson and Karen Broster, Clifton's best pairing during the match.

Sheriff Hutton suffered another 5-4 defeat when they entertained Selby 77 at Poppleton Community Centre. The match effectively hinged on the eighth rubber in which Selby completed their maximum with a tough 15-13, 5-15, 15-12 win over Jo Wade and Dave Grieve.

Easingwold, going well in mixed three, kept up their good home record with a 6-3 win over Drax 'C'.

Alison Monk and Phil Young took three Easingwold wins for a total of 104-68, including a 14-17, 15-10, 15-3 over Angela Spivey and Dennis Bradley, who took two Drax wins.

Fulfordgate entertained St John's in mixed four and went down 2-7.
