YOU printed an inquiry from a reader about on-site massage and gave details of the service available in York (The Experts, February 4).
As physiotherapists, we get many patients who have initially had symptoms such as the reader described.
Rather than having a massage to ease the symptoms it is much more advisable to investigate the cause and prevent it happening or recurring.
One of our team of physiotherapists specialises in ergonomics. He is qualified to assess the working environment, be it a desk or a production line, and provide advice and recommendations to eliminate risk factors which may result in injury. For details contact Robert Jones at Highthorn Physiotherapy Clinic.
