A HUNTINGTON schoolgirl had to be airlifted to hospital after a skiing accident on a school trip to Austria.
Claire Wells, 14, suffered a broken leg during the ski trip last week to St Johannes, Austria.
She had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital.
According to deputy head teacher John Tomsett, who was a senior teacher on the trip, Claire spent five days in hospital and was flown home last Saturday, while the rest of the skiing party returned by coach.
The Year Nine pupil is still off school.
