FORMER Australian Test spin bowler Terry Jenner is to weave his craft in York.
Jenner, who made nine Test appearances for the Aussies, will coach eight of the northern region's most promising wrist-spinners at three sessions held at St Peter's School from March 1-3.
The specialist tuition from a wizard of Oz forms part of a ten-venue coaching programme organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board. The major incentive for the youngsters being coached throughout the country is the offer of two places at the legendary Australian Cricket Academy in Sydney for a fortnight next October.
York area club coaches are also invited to view the St Peter's sessions, which are from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, March 1; 11am to 1pm on Saturday, March 2; and 10am to noon on Sunday, March 3. Further details from regional development officer Ian Dews tel York 671596.
