BOBBY Brewer made a stunning debut for Kirkbymoorside Reserves.
He scored after only 45 seconds in the RJF Homes Beckett League division one match away to Old Malton thirds.
And with the score 2-2 he got the winner three minutes from the end.
Brewer signed for the Moorsiders in a midweek transfer from Sinnington. Nicky Hodgson made it 2-0 to the Moorsiders after 20 minutes.
Old Malton hit back in the second half through Jamie Dawson on the hour and Jimmy Baxter ten minutes from time.
Brewer's winning goal enabled his new team to close the gap on division one leaders Rosedale to four points and the second-placed Moorsiders have two games in hand.
Rosedale's game at Aislaby United was postponed because of both teams' pitches were waterlogged.
Union Rovers are up to third place in the table after an 11-0 win away to a nine-man Ampleforth side who were missing players because of a road accident.

Paul Holder and Jamie scored hat-tricks for Rovers, who led 3-0 at half-time. Richard Abbey, Nicky Todd, John MacLeod, Andy Hawes (penalty), and Chris Wilkinson were the other marksmen.
Black Swan, Pickering warmed up for their Scarborough and District FA Junior Cup semi-final at home to Ayton this weekend by beating Kirkdale United 2-0.
Mark Wood, who was making his debut for Black Swan, scored after only 45 seconds following good work by Richard Robinson. Christian Walton was on target in the second half.
A Stuart Gordon penalty gave Sinnington the lead at home to Slingsby.
Sinnington goalkeeper Ian Smith saved a Darren Dyer penalty, but Dyer made amends when he equalised after 35 minutes. There were no more goals and the game ended 1-1.
Slingsby have been drawn to play Barmby Moor in the York and District FA Junior Cup semi-final at Old Malton's pitch on March 23.
Andrew Wilkinson has joined Sinnington from Kirkbymoorside Reserves. The transfer went through last week.
Richard Corner was transferred on Monday to Slingsby from Amotherby & Swinton, the division two leaders.
Amotherby & Swinton gained revenge against Pickering Royal Oak for last month's defeat by winning the return fixture 4-0.
Chris Rio put Amotherby & Swinton ahead in the first half. Chris Rio, Simon Wall and Matty Biggins scored in the second half.
A goal by Rob Myers in the second half gave Coxwold a 1-0 win away to Ryedale SC Reserves.
