GO NOMADIC scored his second win in six days when triumphing in the Land Rover men's open race at Sinnington Hunt point-to-point meeting at Duncombe Park.
It was the first point-to-point racing in Ryedale for a year, the foot and mouth crisis having brought last season to a halt.
Peter Atkinson's mount Go Nomadic had won the restricted race at the Bramham Moor Hunt meeting at Wetherby the previous Sunday and was originally entered for the restricted race at Duncombe Park.
But the Bedale owner of Go Nomadic learnt during the week that the seven-year-old was no longer qualified for the restricted race, so the switch was made to the men's open contest.
Go Nomadic, five lengths clear approaching the last obstacle, held off the strong finishing Hazel Reilly to win by two lengths, with Blank Cheque half a length further back in third place.
Concerto Collonges, winner of the Bramham Moor mixed open race, finished fourth.
Colonel Blazer, just recovered from a virus and cleared to run when passing a blood test the day before the Sinnington Hunt, won the members' race.
Ian Mason, trainer of Colonel Blazer, completed a double success when Regal Gale won the second maiden race.
It was the first victory between the flags for rider Gino Carenzo, who works for Mick Easterby and has gained five wins under Rules.
Regal Gale is owned by Susan Mason, Mick Easterby's daughter, and she acquired the horse at Doncaster last May for 3,100 guineas from her brother David.
