Dave Bailey scored in the first half for Malton Bacon Factory, but Moor Lane managed an equaliser from Brendan Walsh and the Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'B' leaders had to rely on a Chris Bell winner to remain in pole position.
Malton BF's nearest challengers, Osbaldswick, kept up the pressure by beating homesters Easingwold 3-2.
Clayton King scored for Easingwold after only three minutes and netted his second after the half-time break.
But Osbaldwick staged a dramatic comeback when two goals from Robb Orr and one from Steve Dagnell ensured an enterprising away-day.
Alex Simpson gave Riccall a one goal lead going into the half-time interval at Rufforth, but Jim Young headed an equaliser after the restart. New signing Ian Tarvill then struck twice to put Rufforth in front.
Riccall's Richard Hall produced a solo goal five minutes from time to set up a grandstand finish but the home side managed to hold out for the victory.
Barmby Moor and Civil Service shared eight goals with Tom Gibson, Phil Harper, Gavin Kemp and Barry Stephenson on the score-sheet for hosts Barmby.
Copmanthorpe's lead at the top of Reserve 'C' looks almost unassailable after their latest 6-2 triumph just as their closest rivals Stamford Bridge were going down at Fulford.
A penalty from veteran Roy Atkinson and a goal from Alistair Hamilton gave Copmanthorpe a narrow 2-1 lead over LNER Builders at half-time, Andy Crease scoring for the Builders.
But then Callum McKay struck to put the game beyond the Builders' reach with a second half hat trick.
Rob Lancaster struck a second goal for the visitors, but in-form Cop' completed the six-of-the-best show with a goal from Darren Hughes.
A Shaun Cade penalty for Fulford was cancelled out by a John Willmoth goal for Stamford Bridge.
Ben Bailey scored twice in the second half to put Fulford in command, but another from Willmoth set up a frantic finale. However, Fulford just managed to cling on to a maximum haul.
Wilberfoss and Heslington remain on the fringe of the promotion places after respective away wins.
The former won 2-0 at White Horse with goals from Lee Stansfield and Ian Cappelman, while Heslington withstood a fight-back from hosts Huby, who trimmed a 4-1 deficit to 4-3.
Huby's marksmen were Geoff Bracewell, Mike Wyrill and Dan Grainger.
