SUN Inn's lead at the top of York White Rose Ladies League division one is looking decidedly shaky.
Railway Institute were the latest to test Sun's nerves. Irene Taylor put Institute level at three apiece and Maureen Tindall threw 24 darts to gather the decider.
Second-placed Fulfordgate had double-ton scorer Karen Reasbeck and Beryl Glover (24) starring in a 5-2 at Vaults, while Collingwood crushed Crescent 7-0.
Fulford Conservatives took a last game win with Michelle Harrison at Deramore. In division two Bumper increased their margin with a 5-2 win over Six Bells and Bowling Club drew level with Coach by beating them 4-3, Glennis Ellis taking the decider.
Brenda McMillan, Joanne Heaton, then Diane Sanderson (100,100) took Nags Head to a good victory over Winning Post.
King William beat Tramways 4-3, Val Bell getting the winner to remain top of division three. However, they are now joined by Huntington Sports, who had Sue Smith shooting out on bullseye in a 5-2 win over Red Lion.
Alice Hawthorn stopped Bay Horse's gallop with a splendid 6-1 scoreline, only the Karrol Watkinson-Ellen Graham pairing winning for the Murton side.
The semi-final pairs competition line-up is Joanne Heaton-Dianne Sanderson (Nags), Irene Taylor-Denis Fahey (Institute), Sue Scrimshaw-Julie Scattergood and Heather Beadnell-Sheelagh Lord (Sun).
Aided by an excellent 180-15 dart game from Dave O'Hara, Bumper Castle took their York John Smith's Mixed League match with Huntington to the decider but the latter were given victory by Harry Watson and Joan Hunter.
Division one leaders Cygnet 'A' beat their 'C' side 6-3, which included 17 darts from Kevin Walton and a fine 115 check-out for 21 from Dawn Exton.
Jim Hawksby gamed in 21 for Beeswing against Tap, who came out top in the decider with Gary and Karen Richardson, while Dave Broadhead-Angela Powell gave Cygnet 'B' a last-game win despite good performances for Leeman 'A' by Phil Smith (21), Martyn Turner (180) and Mandy Waddington (bull finish).
Division two leaders Slipper 'B' had 20 darts from Barry Noble in a 6-3 over Leeman 'B'.
Sue Claydon closed on 72 to send Victoria Vaults into the pairs with a 4-2 advantage against Phoenix 'A' in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.
Claydon's colleagues Caroline Walker and Tracy Billingham secured the match.
Front-runners Brigadier were taken to the wire by Slipper. Roz Kerr (121,121)-Julie Coyle gave 'Brig' a 4-3 edge but Ann Parkyn-Aline Turpin set up the decider, which saw Brigadier's captain Sue Lowery partner Carole Layne home.
Phoenix 'B' flew into a 3-0 lead at Cygnet, who replied through Maggie Druett, Anne Bass, then Dawn Exton, who partnered Marie Caravana, to give the home side a 4-3 lead. Bass and Daphne Greene then secured victory.
Sandra Bruce inspired by hitting 140,100,100 as Ox stampeded over Dringhouses. Glenda Mordue-Claire Robinson secured the 5-4 win for Slip at Clifton 'A'.
Jo Hodges scored the tons to guide Clifton 'B' to a resounding 6-3 against Burton WMC. This puts Clifton into pole position in division two.
Britannia 'A' had only Sally Swales winning in the singles at Shepherd SC.
Severus went into the lead with Mavis Gallimore then Linda Davies but Half Moon responded well to win 6-3, Betty Jameson including 138, 134.
Carol Price and Lin Gould hit the big scores as Holgate beat Leeman 'A' 6-3, while Betty Pinder and Chris Garbutt were double-ton scorers for Britannia 'B', who had to win all the pairs against Cygnet. Garbutt partnered Joan Harrison to get the decider.
Chris Rimmer scored high for Ebor but Woolpack continued their quest for division three honours. The leaders, Jubilee, beat Tang Hall WMC 6-3, while Colette Wilson-Linda Ewan sealed the 5-4 win for Puss 'B' against CueBall.
