ALMOST £1 million worth of property was stolen from sheds and outbuildings in the Hambleton, Ryedale and Scarborough areas in the last nine months of last year.
In an effort to cut the number of such raids, community safety officers from North Yorkshire Police are taking to the streets to tell the public how to protect their property.
The "Shed-ucation" campaign starts tomorrow when a mobile police station will be sited behind the Town Hall, in High Street, Northallerton.
The roadshow will be also be in Safeway supermarket car park, in Falsgrave Road, Scarborough, on Thursday, and in Helmsley Market Place on Friday. The mobile station will be at the sites between 9.30am and 2pm on each designated day.
