SELBY took advantage of their free week in Yorkshire One to overcome Ripon 24-0 in a friendly at Mallorie Park.
The Sandhill Lane club were always in control against their Yorkshire Two rivals, with tries from Matthew Smith (2) and Duncan Phillips and the impeccable kicking of Carl Paterson securing the win.
Director of rugby Sam Longthorpe said: "It was a good game. Ripon are a division below us and fielded a side which included a number of young lads, but I think our experience just wore them down.
"They did start off well, but after 20 minutes we took control."
