THE division two match of the day took place at Haxby where first visited second and it was table-toppers Copmanthorpe who emerged with a 3-2 win.
The game sprang to life in the 20th minute when Richard Iggledon netted for Haxby & Wigginton but Lee Atkinson equalised for Copmanthorpe, who went ahead three minutes later with a Steve Illing penalty.
Haxby & Wigginton enjoyed the majority of the second half possession without being able to create any clear cut chances and five minutes from time Darren Starkey broke away to net Copmanthorpe's third goal.
T&L Selby hit five without reply at Norton and they could yet have a say in the promotion places as they have four games to make up on their rivals.
Both Easingwold and Stillington eased their relegation worries, the former enjoyed a surprising 4-1 win against Hamilton Panthers who opened the scoring with James Brown's header.
Gary Raper netted twice to put Easingwold into the lead by half-time. Tony Raper increased Easingwold's lead and Paul Rhodes rounded off Easingwold's win with the fourth.
Stillington entertained third placed Stamford Bridge and were 2-0 up thanks to John Anderson before Bridge reduced the arrears with a Sam Brown penalty.. Greg Nesbitt levelled in the second half but Steve Johnson grabbed the Stillington's 85th-minute winner.
