IN response to your article 'Ex-sports ministers join fight for survival' (February 12), I am at a loss to understand why John Greenway, as Opposition front bench spokesman on sport, is able to sign the Early Day Motion, but my constituency MP Anne McIntosh is prevented by Parliamentary protocol.
This does not make sense. A football club is essential in a city as large as York and "quietly working away behind the scenes" is not a clear enough indication of her commitment to its long-term future.
