A SUPERB 160 check-out for 15 darts from Paul Cooper helped leaders Bay Horse demolish Clifton 'B' in York Atlas Auto Services League division one.
Cooper was well backed by 21 darts from Dave O'Hara and Allan Galley, who notched a 99 finish for 15 darts. Paul Innes was Clifton 'B' team's best.
Slipper's Pete Turnbull and Rob Platt combined to seal a 5-4 victory over Escrick whose Dave Bath scored well to save the aggregate.
A fine 15 darter from Graham Sanderson put Clifton 'A' in the driving seat at Mitre. Neil Hart and Martyn Turner each recorded 21 darters, while Sam Pearson (20) was best for Mitre. This win puts Clifton 'A' two points behind second-placed Escrick.
Division two leaders Cygnet, came from 3-1 down to take the remaining games against Howden, while Huntington 'A' tightened their grip on second spot with a 7-2 result over Woolpack.
Acomb's quest for honours were bolstered with a good win at Crescent 'A'. Simon Mason's 18 darts and a splendid 15 from Rob Henman pushed Acomb into a 4-0 lead before Crescent's Jamie Radford closed in 18 darts. Dave Tute-Mick Ward sealed the win but further scores from Eric Ellison saved Crescent the aggregate.
Crescent 'B's Eric Barker got among the tons to salvage the aggregate against Fulford Arms, while Steve Allan was Burton's only success against Ebor whose Dermot Tuohey stood out.
In division three a 21 darter by Steve Smith inspired Huntington 'B' to victory against Reindeer, while Jackdaw won all the singles to secure victory over Yearsley.
A 180 from John Quantock capped a good all-round Six Bells display against Leeman, while Steve Reynolds was a maximum scorer for Bumper in their 5-4 victory over Indoor Bowls.
Runaway division four leaders Clifton 'C' had a big victory over Woodman whose Steve Lynn was their only success. Robert Smith notched 180 for the leaders.
Mount ran into in-form York Arms and lost 8-1, Mike Kearney their only scorer. Martin Pears-Sam Massheder were match winners for Crown against Ship.

There were outstanding games in the Poacher versus Trafalgar York John Smith's Men's League match.
Kelvin Frankel opened Trafalgar's account with 180 for 14 darts, but Poacher saw a 180 for 14 by Lee Brundrett, 17 by Gary Kynman and 21 by Ray McInnally, who closed a 6-3 win with a 118 finish.
Dave Gibbons and Kevin Walton hit 180s as Shepherd 'A' beat Flag 7-2, while Sun's 8-1 win at Saddle, whose winner was Noel Cooper, included a 21 from Tony Cooper.
Victoria Vaults took the pairs to beat Yearsley, but Lee Mason replied with a splendid 17 darts which took the aggregate point.
Dringhouses struck form to white-wash Green Tree 'B'. John Grove shot 19, while 20 each were record-ed by Barry Noble then Alan Ship- ley. Mick Coupland checked 112.
If events go their way, Cygnet 'A' could still finish as runners-up. A 7-2 win over Shepherd 'B' included a fine 17 darts from John Mooring and 21 by captain Keith Turner.
Division two champions Osbaldwick saw a fine 20 darts thrown by Mal Rollinson against Institute 'B' whose only winner was Jason Turner, while Derek Hartley sealed Cygnet 'B's victory at Institute 'A'. Kevin Pallister (20) opened Green Tree 'A's account and Rich Beddows checked 106 in a 6-3 win over Phoenix.
Lighthorseman claimed the runners-up spot with a 6-3 win over main rivals Holgate. Peter Edwards hit a 180.
A good game from Wayne Pagdin got Sun 'B' a point but Slip won 5-4 through Rich Craig-Rick Hipkins.
Similarly for Swan, Paul Hayes followed 160 with a 121 finish for a superb 15 darts to help towards the aggregate. But Groves took three pairs, Dave Atkin-Chris Flanagan winning the decider.
