ROSEDALE have increased their lead at the top of RJF Homes Beckett League division one to seven points over second-placed Kirkbymoorside Reserves, who have three games in hand after their game at home to Black Swan, Pickering, last Saturday was postponed.
Ken Weatherill scored a hat-trick as Rosedale won at second from bottom Slingsby.
Weatherill put Rosededale ahead after 18 minutes when from 18 yards out he chipped the ball over Slingsby's goalkeeper. Weatherill (70 and 88 minutes) and John Tindall (80 minutes) scored in the second half.
Aislaby are up to third place after a 2-1 win away to Kirkdale United, only their second league defeat of the season.
Phil Charlton was carried off injured early in the first half. Ian Prendergast missed a penalty, but Johnny Marwood scored from a free kick to put Kirkdale in front.
Aislaby bounced back in the second half. Danny Lamb crossed into the penalty area with a fierce drive only for Kirkdale's James Thompson to put the ball into his own goal. Simon King got Aislaby's winner.
Kirkdale's Johnny Marwood missed a chance to equalise in the closing minutes.
Sinnington switched their home game with Union Rovers to the Rovers' pitch and Union won 3-1.
Jamie Wilkinson put Union Rovers ahead after 18 minutes.
Andy Piercy made it 2-0 after 66 minutes. Dan Harland pulled a goal back four minutes later After 82 minutes. Piercy scored his second goal of the game.
Chris Rio scored four goals as division two leaders Amotherby and Swinton crushed visitors Old Red House 7-1. Will Spowart (2) and Matty Biggins were Amotherby's other scorers. Tom Kendall scored for Red House in the first half.
Mike Lealman and Jonathan Scoble scored hat-tricks as third-placed Thornton-le-Dale beat Bagby and Balk 7-2. Jeff Quilter was Dale's other scorer.
Paul Fountain put Bagby and Balk ahead and he also got the last goal of the match, his side's 50th league goal of the season.
After going a goal behind Dale had netted six by the interval. Scoble completed his hat-trick in the second half.
Paul Brackley hit a hat-trick in the first half hour as second-placed Duncombe Park won 5-1 at home to Coxwold.
His first egoal came from a free kick, his second direct from a corner and the third came when he latched on to a through ball and scored from 18 yards.
Jason Sargent pulled a goal back for Coxwold early in the second half, but in the last ten minutes Duncombe Park scored twice with a goal each for Craig Newton and Brian Connor.
