TWO flood warnings remained in place in the centre of York today, but weather forecasters have predicted a change in the weather from Thursday to colder, drier weather.
Warnings were in place on the Ouse on the staithes and riverside paths and at Naburn Lock, and also on the Ure at Aldwark Bridge to Cuddyshaw Plantation and Bishop Monkton to Roecliffe Caravan Park.
Michael Dukes, from PA Weather Centre, said there would be some showers over the next two or three days, then high pressure would start to determine the weather conditions for the first time in five weeks.
