IN October my mother, who will be 80 in a few weeks, was taken ill and admitted to York District Hospital. She received excellent care from everyone and thankfully made an excellent recovery.
She has just been discharged after a planned operation on her back to relieve severe sciatica.
She was attended by a nurse, physiotherapist and a surgeon.
We were both extremely pleased and impressed by the kindness and courtesy of everyone involved.
The experience in hospital (Ward 26) was equally positive.
The surgeons did an excellent job, as did the nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and ambulance crew.
Thank you all.
