SHOPPERS in York are being urged to grab a bargain - Viking style!
Medieval townhouse Barley Hall, off Stonegate, will play host to the popular Viking market as part of the Jolablot festival this weekend. Shoemakers, traders and re-enactors will sell their wares and demonstrate their crafts in the coffee yard. Music will be provided by the popular medieval group Trouvere.
The Viking market is open from Saturday until February 17, between 10am and 4pm. Ken Hakin, of Hakkinen Footwear, is pictured demonstrating Viking shoemaking techniques at the hall.
