A WOMAN was attacked and robbed by a group of youths in the centre of York.
The 18-year-old victim suffered minor injuries to her chest and face after she was attacked near to Monk Bar, at the end of Goodramgate, some time between 1am and 1.45am yesterday.
She told police the group had followed her along Monkgate before confronting her and demanding cash.
She was knocked to the ground and a NatWest cashcard, driving licence and keys were taken from her bag.
The group ran off when passers-by were attracted by the woman's screams. The victim then went to a nearby friend's house for help and later reported the incident to police.
