THE top seeds in the ladies section of the York Open Squash Championship at York SRC came through unscathed.
Trish Kochaniec (1), Katie Watson (2), Natalie Watson (3) and Annette Williams (4) were never really troubled as they each picked up straight sets victories.
Kochaniec hardly broke into a sweat as she dropped just two games in her demolition of Pat Boden, while number two seed Katie Watson signalled her intentions by dropping just one game against Sheila Clifford.
In the Men's Championship, No1 seed and defending champion Nathan Hill earned his place in the quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory over Railway's James Rollinson.
Number two seed Jamie Robinson had no sympathy for club-mate Chris Plowman, winning in straight sets for the loss of only two points.
Number three seed Anton Green beat Owen Humphries 3-1, while an all-Wigginton quarter-final is on the cards as Mathew Lowery and Ian Tooms both won 3-0.
Nick Robinson beat Andy Tuck 3-1 and Mathew Stephenson took the quarter-final place after beating John Riley.
In the Vintage Championships the top two seeds won thropugh Mark Thompson (1) and Arthur Williams (2) with 3-0 victories against Chaz Burns and Bob Sedgwick.
