THE postponement of Saturday's clash with Lincoln has done nothing to ease York City manager Terry Dolan's injury worries ahead of tonight's trip to Rochdale, writes Dave Stanford.
Centre-back Chris Smith remains suspended for the clash while Lee Nogan (calf), Gary Hobson (hamstring) and Richard Cooper (broken leg) are all ruled out through injury.
Centre-back John Fielding and fellow defender Mark Maley remain on the comeback trail but are still some way off being considered for a senior return.
It leaves Dolan with just 15 senior professionals available. Trainee Leigh Wood therefore remains in the squad with Scott Emmerson - who scored the winning goal in last season's corresponding fixture - also under consideration.
Dolan, a former Rochdale player and boss, would settle for a repeat of last season's result.
"We turned our season around last season with that victory and I always like playing against my former club," he said.
"But they have lost only one at home so that will give you an indication of how difficult it will be."
Dolan confirmed: "The team will be just the same as it would have been on Saturday.
"The fact we didn't have a game means at least we don't have any fresh injuries and we are a bit fresher than we would have been.
"But with the number of players we have got, and if we continue to have the conditions we've had over the last few weeks, then it is going to test the squad and the standard of the players.
"We have pretty much got two games every week now until the end of the season.
"We want to keep the momentum going we have picked up over the last few games."
- York City's home game with Lincoln City has been rearranged for Tuesday, March 26, kick-off 7.45pm. The game was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged Bootham Crescent pitch.
