A GOAL in the first five minutes set table-toppling Pocklington on their way to a 3-1 victory over Wigginton Grasshoppers in the premier division of the Leeper Hare York and District League.
Owen Ellis netted to get Pock' up and running, but Grasshoppers could have been level soon after - only for Craig Cammish to keep out a penalty.
Pock' made Wigginton pay for this miss as Arron Craggs doubled the advantage with a great individual effort.
Grasshoppers made no mistake from a second penaly, Tom Matthews slotting home from the spot, but with minutes to go Pocklington's Charlie Bond landed their third.
A strong second-half display saw Boroughbridge to a 3-0 victory over Huntington.
Boroughbridge went into the lead after 40 minutes with a goal by Ollie Uffindall.
The second half saw Miguel Lopez and Martin Pepper both net from 20 yards out to seal the win.
Bottom-of-the-table New Earswick were outplayed by Bishopthorpe, who cruised to a 6-0 rout.
Kartiers continued their good run with a 3-3 draw against top-of-the-table contenders Old Malton.
Kartiers opened the scoring after 35 minutes when a cross from Russell Seagrove was bundled in by Rich Singh.
Malton equalised with a free-kick from Neil Wilford, only for Kartiers to regain the lead 30 seconds before half-time through Seagrove.
After the break, Old Malton levelled the score with Lee Welburn on target, only for Seagrove to score again.
It seemed that Kartiers had it in the bag, when Marcus Lee came through to net the equaliser.
Rufforth and struggling Riccall battled it out for a 2-2 draw.
The home side went into the lead through John Ayres, but Riccall equalised through Stuart Ross.
Rufforth retook the lead when Peter Powell netted, but Riccall came back for Damon Scott to level to register a badly needed point.
Dunnington were again without six first team players missing and it showed as they lost 7-0 to Dringhouses.
'Houses were three nil up at half-time, with goals from Mark Scoreby, John Lake, and Andy Barkway, while Craig Atkinson (3) and Gary Kitson wrapped up the victory.

The home side took the lead after ten minutes through John Allcock, but Mick O'Donnell equalised for Post Office before half-time.
Graham Bootland scored from the penalty spot to put South Bank back in front but two great saves by Steve Kelly prevented them from taking control.
When the Postmen were awarded a last-minute penalty Kelly stepped up to earn his team a precious point in the promotion race.
Norwich Union travelled to lowly Huby and were on the receiving end of a 4-1 defeat.
John Durrant, Lee Brinicombe and Dave Rollinson gave Huby a three-goal advantage by half-time and although Steve Arksey managed to pull one back after the break, Andrew Metcalfe completed a fine win for Huby.
Two goals from Rob Ellis and one from Aidie Gray put St Johns' College in command at Hammerton.

A Stuart Dickinson cross in the 20th-minute eluded everybody, including the Copmanthorpe 'keeper, and ended up in the net.
Copmanthorpe spurned the chance to draw level when they missed a penalty and despite constant pressure Heslington held out in the mud.
Stamford Bridge romped to a 5- 0 win over an under-strength White Horse team.
Johnny Stevens (2), Jamie Rank, James Willmott and Nick Mennell were their goal scorers.
Goals either side of half-time from Mark Grewer and Jon Machin were enough to give Haxby & Wigginton a 2-0 win at home to Fulford.
Barmby Moor managed to complete only their eighth league game of their season so far with a 4-2 win at Norton.
Norton's Chris Seager and Gabby Horgan gave them a 2-0 lead, but Rob Bradley began the Barmby fight back.
As Norton completely lost their way, Barmby bagged three more in the last 20 minutes through Bradley (2), and Stuart Barker.
