Q I work in an office environment and have noticed that by lunchtime I often feel lethargic.
My shoulders neck and arms also feel tight and ache. I've read about people in London who carry out massage at the workplace and wondered if such a service was available in York?
A On-site massage is a treatment which has been specifically designed for busy office workers like yourself. This massage is undertaken with the client fully clothed, and seated in a specially-designed chair. No oils or lotions are used and the session usually lasts about 20 minutes as only the upper body is massaged.
On-site massage is based on the principles of a traditional Japanese massage known as Anma. It incorporates more than 100 specific acupressure points on the head, neck, back, shoulders, arms and hands together with established massage stokes for stretching and relaxing muscles.
Massaging these pressure points will help to clear blocked energy in the body, which in turn should help to give you more energy and relax those aching muscles.
The good news is there is a practitioner in York. If you would like further details about this type of therapy, I suggest you call Brenda Poller an on-site massage therapist who works from the town centre.
Brenda will also visit you at your place of work. Contact her on 07900 815275.
