YORK will have to find some way of halting Marcus Edwards when Scarborough head to Clifton Park tomorrow.

Fly-half Edwards, younger brother of York Wasps RL hooker Peter, has been instrumental in Scarborough's rise up the rankings.

But York will know exactly what they will have to deal with, having already fallen foul to Edwards once this season.

In that Yorkshire One tie back in October, Edwards had a hand in all Scarborough's tries as they racked up a 20-12 victory.

But York should have the experienced Mark Roberts in the No 10 shirt to combat the threat, while former West Hartlepool flanker Matt Emmerson returns to the squad.

Resurgent Selby will face a tough examination when they travel to Gary Pearce's Hull.

The Yorkshire One leaders seem to be heading for promotion, with Pearce's band of rugby league imports having lost just once in 13 attempts.

But Selby are currently unbeaten in their last four matches, so they will not want their record to go without a fight.

Matthew Smith could earn himself a recall after finally shaking off his injury problems.

Pocklington, firmly rooted to the bottom of the table, face a tricky trip to promotion-chasing Yarnbury.

With poor weather expected, conditions on the Brownberrie Park pitch, which is boggy at the best of times in the winter, will not help Pocklington's style of play.

York RI face a tough test when they make the short trip to Mallorie Park to take on Ripon.

A narrow home defeat against bottom club West Leeds has seen the Railwaymen drop towards the danger zone.

Now they will have to regroup for a trip to high-flying Ripon, who lie in joint third in Yorkshire Three.

The club have delayed naming their side due to injury doubts over Steve Fawcett and Ashley Casey, although John Alexander is back.

Malton and Norton have a number of injury problems for the clash at Bramley Phoenix.

Hooker Steve Hayhurst is still suffering an ankle injury so Duncan Humphreys will deputise, while fellow front row man Tom Piercy is hoping to shake off a knock to his ankle in time. Prop forward Tom Eddy is unavailable because of work commitments.

Ian Mansell is suffering a groin strain and Richard John a knee injury, so their places in the squad will be taken by Neil Gilbertson and Tim Chapman.

Ralph Zoing's promotion-chasing Harrogate will look to show their credentials in their trip to Rosslyn Park.

The two sides have enjoyed numerous battles in the past few seasons - but despite always being among the leading contenders neither has managed to break out of National Two.

This season though Roehampton-based Park have found themselves in danger of dropping down the standings towards Division Three South.

But, having won at Claro Road, 'Gate will have to be wary of complacency.

Zoing has opted to stick with the same XV that beat Kendal on Saturday, but he makes three changes on the bench with Rob Jones, Andy Nunns and Steve Hobson replacing Rob Wilson, Mark Erven and Chris Horner.
