York College netballers have moved a step closer to national glory.
As reported in the Evening Press, the college's Under-19s squad won the North Yorkshire title at the end of last year.
Now they have booked their place in the national finals after winning through the regional round for the top sides in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
Huddersfield's Greenhead pipped York College to the title of regional champions, but four victories, two draws and only one defeat saw York finish runners-up and qualify for the national finals for college sides.
York College are now among the top 18 teams in the country and will compete for the national title on March 16 at the Manchester Velodrome.
