Acomb Ladies drew 1-1 with Wakefield Wanderers in Division One of the Yorkshire League.
Acomb fell behind to an early goal in the opening minutes then spent the rest of the half the better team creating good chances.
Anne Hagyard came close after a good through ball from Vicky Burden but Acomb finally did get the goal they deserved in a heated game.
Acomb Ladies II strolled to a 3-0 win over a weak Salendine Nook side in division six, although they were indebted to two goal-line clearances by Debbie Wright to keep a clean sheet.
In division two of the Yorkshire League, City of York Ladies II drew 2-2 at Zeneca (Huddersfield), Helen Shilleto equalising from a penalty stroke for York in the first-half. Zeneca went ahead again after the break but Shilleto equalised again, following her own strong run on goal.
In division six, City of York III lost 4-2 at home to Horsforth II, Lucy Stubley scoring both York's goals, while in division seven, City of York IV came up against a strong Slazengers II, losing 5-0.
City of York Ladies' first squad had a gentle warm up before next week's restart of the North League season with a 12-2 win against a Kendal touring side.
Sally Sleightholme scored the majority of York's goals and Cath Hewerdine made a welcome return after a lengthy absence.
