A HEARTBEAT-style village police house in Ryedale is up for sale at £200,000.
The property, the Former Police House in Hovingham, harks back to the days when village bobbies lived above their local station.
Inspector Neil Burnett, from Malton Police, said the property was being sold now because it was surplus to requirements.
"The policeman who lived in it has moved away, and the new beat officer for that village does not live there," he said.
The four-bedroom stone-built detached house has a double garage and three reception rooms.
A spokesman for Mouchel, which is handling the sale, said: "It is a large property and it's set in a very beautiful village."
