York City's intermediates drew 1-1 with Darlington in a Youth Alliance North East Conference game that was moved to the club's Wigginton Road training ground.
Scott Emmerson fired the young Minstermen in front but hopes of three points were dashed when the Quakers forced an equaliser.
Fellow City striker Luke Ibbetson was sent-off for dissent in the second-half after his claims for a penalty were waved away by the referee.
The match should have taken place at Darlington but was switched because the Quakers' pitch was deemed unplayable.
