YORK City spearhead Michael Proctor has every incentive for wanting to spike the FA Cup dreams of Premiership big-guns Fulham.
Proctor is revelling in the glory of the Minstermen's march to the fourth round and wants his debut campaign to run and run.
Currently goalless in 2002, the City striker is also desperate to bag his first ever FA Cup goal and so end his eight-match famine.
Furthermore, deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light for this season at least, the on-loan Sunderland hitman is chomping at the bit to prove his Premiership potential.
"It would be nice to get a goal to prove not only to Sunderland but to myself that I can play against Premier League players," Proctor told the Evening Press.
"Obviously, I have played alongside them in training at Sunderland but a competitive match is different.
"Hopefully, for the team and myself I can put on a good performance and prove to a few people that I can cut it at that level."
Proctor, who has bagged eight goals this term, admitted the gap between the Premiership and the Football League's basement is big.
However, pride, passion and the magic of the FA Cup will mean it is one that is not insurmountable insisted the 21-year-old.
"Consistency is something we have been lacking this year and if you want to be a successful team, like Fulham have been, then you need that consistency," he reasoned.
"They are going to be technically better than players down the League. The passing and movement will be better but probably the main thing is they will see opportunities that little but quicker.
"Hopefully, we can get amongst them, get in a few decent tackles and ruffle them up a bit and knock them from their stride."
And Proctor reckons City have good reason for fancying their chances of an upset.
"In any tie between a Premier League side and a small club the pressure is always going to be on the big club," he reasoned.
"They are expected to win and so we can go out there with no pressure, play some nice football and maybe a spring a surprise.
"They aren't going to fancy coming to York. The weather forecast is a bit dodgy for the next couple of days and they probably won't fancy playing on the pitch at Bootham.
"I'm sure they won't take us lightly, they'll approach the game professionally so it is going to take a massive effort from us to get anything from the game but, you never know, this is the FA Cup after all."
Proctor admitted his first taste of the FA Cup was living up to all the hype surrounding football's most cherished competition.
"This is my first season playing in the FA Cup, my debut was against Colchester in the first round, and obviously I am enjoying it up to now.
"Hopefully, it will continue as it has been doing and we can give Fulham a real run for their money.
"I know I haven't managed to score yet it would be nice to break the duck against Fulham.
"The lads are looking forwards to it and I just hope we can do ourselves justice."
